Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman

Neil, my man. Always introducing me to the world of wonder. The only Norse mythology I know is what I watched in the Marvel movies. This book was not an epic and was not written in riddles. Gaiman puts it all in an interesting compact collection of short stories. Watching Loki? I suggest you read this!

Social Media Engagement for Dummies

Needed for influencers and business people alike. What's the point of social media if all you're getting is likes? Easy chunks of info that make a world of difference for engagement.

Howl's Moving Castle (book 1) by Diana Wynne Jones

Didn't know this was a book, let alone a series. So glad Prime Reading had it. Great story of jealousy, love, and magic.

The Princess Bride by William Goldman

I've only seen the movie maybe twice. But this book was a wild ride regardless. I wouldn't mind riding again. Classic adventure, love, and multiple pages about how the trees were not important.

Rooms by Lauren Oliver

Another Prime Reading pick. This was an interesting take on the ghosts in our walls, what life means. The images, truths, and hopes people hold on to. Probably not something I would read again though.

Dreaming and Memory by Steven Palombo

A comprehensive look at how dreaming may aid in our memory cycle. Not science jargon, but probably for dream and psychology junkies only.

13 Things Mentally Strong People Don't Do by Amy Morin

Prime Reading always has me picking something every month. Or two. It's written by a therapist and has some pretty good insights. Unfortunately, through other research and books I've read, I already knew a lot of the information or tips. Great for beginners of mental health.

Mistborn: The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson

I picked this book up off my coffee table because my husband has left it there for months. I thought we were about to do something, but he went to mow the lawn... So I picked up the closest book and then did not put it down for three days. This is the first book by Sanderson I have read and it certainly will not be the last (already on book two now). A beautiful atmospheric world with a diverse character spread (in age, social class, power).

Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn

This will bring out all the mommy issues. Classic journalist trying to find out who-done-it with a surprising twist of a twist. Very dark atmosphere, very good look at a small town and their coveted aesthetics.

A Guided Tour of the Collected Works of C.G. Jung by Robert H. Hopcke

Easily digestible snippets of Jung's theories with suggestions and what to read next of his collected works. Great if you're looking for a roadmap to study Jung's discography.

The Joy of Missing Out: Live More by Doing Less by Tonya Dalton

This book made me fill my journal and April and have to buy another one. Great deep work and an accompanying email worksheet series to really take a look at why we aren't getting things done.

Lastly, plugging my own that was published July 1! If you are looking for a small collection of poetry from an indie author, it's currently free on Kindle Unlimited! Or if you want to help support me and my cats: $2.99 for the ebook.

So what are you reading? Any plans for the next three months? I have an entire bookshelf full of TBR, but I still want you to tell me what to look into! Find me on social and let's have a chat.
